Overnight Sofa launched iDezign at the Furniture Market in High Point, NC, to resounding response. Overnight has enrolled 30 furniture retailers with over 100 store chains representing the custom sleeper program with over 1,000 units sold! The following year, the interactive web interface for iDezign was introduced, which offers a “What You See Is What You Get” opportunity to change fabrics, arms, and length of the sofa. The innovative iDezign program puts the creation of the sofa in the consumer’s hands and allows them to rotate it 360 degrees before purchase. Overnight Sofa expects even greater success in the future with the launch of the interactive iDezign component.

Gotham conceived a strategic plan to position the B2B and B2C company as a single-source self-storage resource capitalizing on a unique mix of in-house services including consultative sales experience, design/engineering, component, door and building manufacturing, and installation. Results have been dramatic. In the two years the company has worked with Gotham for strategic marketing planning and execution, BETCO sales increased 60 percent in the first year and are on pace to grow another 40 percent in the second (current) year.

Due to demand, BETCO added a second shift at 100 percent of manufacturing capacity. The company attributes this growth to a rebounding real estate market, heightened brand awareness in the marketplace, more leads, and better-quality prospects due to Gotham's integrated inbound and outbound marketing efforts. The relationship ended when the company was acquired by a competitor and the owner retired.

Precision Drive Systems (PDS) hired Gotham owner Woody Stoudemire to direct their marketing program in mid-2017. Woody provides marketing management, annual marketing budgeting, yearly marketing strategies, customer surveys, analytical data analysis, and market research for PDS. By adding a new website design, pay-per-click marketing, social media, and email marketing, Gotham has significantly helped the profitability of PDS while raising brand awareness and sales opportunities in the woodworking, stone, and marble, glass, composites, and metalworking industries. In a 2020 to 2021 comparison, website lead conversions have grown over 389%!

Since 1999, Gotham has worked on a project basis with Murata, a Japanese-based leader in machine tools manufacturing, and, in 2010, Murata named Gotham its agency of record. Gotham has applied proactive, data-driven strategic marketing planning and built integrated inbound and outbound marketing campaigns that boosted sales, profits, and awareness of the company’s Muratec brand. In 2013, the Turning business unit of Murata’s Machine Tools Division recorded its best sales in more than 40 years of company history.

Gotham developed a strategic plan that encompassed a new web presence, print, and online marketing, trade shows, direct marketing, paid and organic search campaigns, and social media. Within three years of Gotham managing BENZ, Inc.’s brand strategy, the company has experienced growth in name awareness, brand recognition, leads, and sales. Within a year of launching BENZ’s North American website, web visits were increased by 113%; page views increased by 86%. Gotham built a new social media presence on YouTube and Facebook for the company. Gotham built Facebook “Likes” to over 600 (and climbing) in just two months through social media content management. Since Gotham has worked with Benz, Inc., sales revenue has grown by 28% over its three target market segments: wood, metal, and composites.

HASKO had primarily tried to handle marketing in-house. Once Gotham was entrusted with the marketing program. A strategic marketing plan was composed, and following the messaging strategy, Gotham revamped HASKO’s branding with a new logo, communications, responsive website, direct marketing, sales presentations, and brochures. Within two years of these efforts, HASKO sold to a private equity firm, and the owner comfortably retired.

Monarch Color Corporation has enjoyed success and grown steadily based on the quality of their product and reputation for consultative service to their customers. Before engaging Gotham, Monarch had a limited web presence and marketing limited to personal visits to regional customers. A new brand was launched with a search-optimized, responsive web redesign to maximize awareness. Toyota Textile Machinery’s customer base quickly adopted the portal as a helpful research tool pertaining to their textile machinery. Representatives from Toyota can validate usage due to built-in tracking mechanisms. Toyota Textile customers have parts manuals for their specific machines at their fingertips and unique logins for security. The benefits to Toyota include reduced customer phone calls/emails, the ability to modify/update the portal internally, more return web visits, and increased customer loyalty.

As part of the strategic marketing plan, past ASI marketing materials were reviewed, as were the company’s primary competition to define the messaging approach. Following the recommendations within the strategy, ASI opted for a logo and communications rebrand, a new, regionally Search Optimized website, and a corporate brochure. Gotham launched multiple marketing tactics, including paid search text/display ads, enhanced video content via YouTube promotion, and LinkedIn marketing. Geographic areas were limited to the seven states that ASI serves to minimize waste and maximize results. Gotham helped ASI incorporate a CRM, purchase a focused marketing list, and managed a data scrape to discern decisionmaker names within each company.
