Toyota Textile Machinery (TTM), located in Charlotte, NC, is a division of Toyota Industries Corporation based in Kariya-shi, Japan. The company supplies its manufacturing customers Toyota weaving and spinning equipment, just in time factory parts and professional technical support. TTM occupies a 3,300 square meter building with offices, a spare parts warehouse, repair facilities with electronic simulators, and a showroom with Toyota Air Jet and Water Jet demonstration weaving machines.
Toyota Textile Machinery has always provided its customers a high level of support with a high volume of customer phone calls and emails. Their goals for a unique, password-protected portal were to enhance access to key documents pertaining to each customer’s machines operating instructions and access to spare part details.
Toyota Textile Machinery’s customer base quickly adopted the portal as a helpful research tool pertaining to their textile machinery. Representatives from Toyota can validate usage due to built-in tracking mechanisms. Toyota Textile customers have parts manuals for their specific machines at their fingertips and unique logins for security. The benefits to Toyota include reduced customer phone calls/emails, the ability to modify/update the portal internally, more return web visits, and increased customer loyalty.
