Murata Machinery USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Murata Machinery Ltd., Kyoto, Japan, is a world leader in manufacturing automated material-handling systems, machine-tool technology, and textile machinery. Murata markets and sells machine tools to North America, Canada, and Mexico under the Muratec brand.
Murata Machinery and the Muratec brand are significant names in the machine tool industry. Still, the company subsisted mainly on word of mouth in the U.S. With no internal marketing department, Muratec only sporadically marketed around major trade shows. Marketing efforts were disorganized, and the company lacked a go-to-market plan.
Gotham partnered with Murata, a Japan-based leader in machine tools manufacturing, to elevate the visibility and performance of its Muratec brand. Acting as Murata’s strategic marketing partner, Gotham developed data-driven marketing plans and executed integrated inbound and outbound campaigns that strengthened sales, profitability, and overall brand awareness.
During our time with Murata, the company’s Machine Tools Division achieved record-breaking results, with the Turning business unit reaching its highest sales performance in company history.
